Summer Ale from Geary's

What would summer in Maine be like without beaches and beer? And this is a fine brew from Geary's, which goes great with mussels. Sadly, all I picked up at the beach on Chebeague Island a few weekends back were broken shells, many of which you can see here, not far from the boatyard and just over the hill from my friend John Howard's camp. By the way, Geary's also goes just fine with lobster, and who can pass up those with prices so low this summer? For all you beer-drinking connoisseurs, here's what the brewer says about the summer ale: "The style of this ale is traditionally European, similar to a German kolsch: full bodied with a spicy hop tang and a rich, crystal clear golden color." Or, as a coworker of mine aptly put it, "I could drink a lot of those."
