His Early Life

First Bath

Amsterdam

One afternoon, Bunny was sitting right across from me.   And we played the staring game.   I wasn't tracking the time, but we went a long while without glancing away from each other.  But in the end, he won.    Bunny was a teacher that way.

"I am large, I contain multitudes."

His favorite spot in the house — the fireplace.   He would sit or lie there, with a perfect sightline to whatever we were doing.   He didn't seem to cast judgement, but rather, was just a 'witness' to allow us to better reflect on what we were up to.

Bunny taught me alot about personal integrity. To unapologetically be who you truly are as though your life depended on it. Because it does.

Watching over the romantic canals of Amsterdam.

Meditative

No doubt he was a deep soul.   He could sit still for hours, in a softened gaze, as he went inward.  I always imagined that as he would adjust his ears, they acted as sort of a galactic antenna, putting him into contact with advanced celestial beings at the far reaches of the universe.

Not interested in being reduced to a cliché, he was never fond of carrots.  His favorite foods were berries, kale, grapes, bananas and popcorn.

Who am I really?
