10:00 - Overview of the German Market
by Rosita Kuerbis (IME)
Since more than 20 years Rosita Kürbis works in the music industry. She ran the booking agency Komplize Booking working with the first Generation of DJs and producers like Jeffs Mills, Derrick May, Marschall Jefferson, Felix Da Housecat. The creators of Detroit-Techno and Chicago-House. She was involved with the Love Parade as the manager of Dr. Motte the father of the Love Parade and opened her own publishing company Komplize Musikverlag, which she still run.

In 2004 she started as a project manager at the music export office German Sounds promoting German rock and pop music abroad. As neighbouring rights manager at the US-distributor The Orchard she was responsible for the administration of secondary exploitation rights in the territories Scandinavia, Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany.

In 2007 she opened her agency IME- International Matchmaking Event organizing matchmaking and networking events in cooperation with national and international music export offices. Until today she brings companies into contact with each other to help build successful networks in their fields of activity.

PR In Germany by Manfred Tari (Pop100)
Manfred Tari has worked in the music industry since 1987. From 1989 until 1998 he organised the concert program of the German music convention Popkomm, from 1999 onwards he worked as a journalist mainly for trade publications such as Musikmarkt, IQ-Magazine, Music & Copyright and Vip News. From 2004 until 2008 he worked for the conference agenda of Popkomm and since 2009 has provided the same service to the Hamburg based Reeperbahn Festival & Conference.
